There are so many great Flash games being developed right now that it is difficult to keep track of them all. I want to put together a list of all of the current AIR-based mobile games and also games being developed with Stage3D. If you aren’t quite done with your game that is OK and I would still love to hear about it. Please pass on this blog post to anyone you know who is working with these technologies.
Adobe is always looking to showcase great games built with Flash and we would love to promote them. Please fill out the form below and thanks!
One of the best parts of the Latin Flash Tour is seeing all of the cool work being done down south. If you are a game developer and are working on something cool, please come find me. I would love to get you some publicity and help promote your games. We leave for Bogotá on Thursday and I can wait to see what you’re working on!
Update: Thibault just posted this on Twitter regarding right-click control to go along with mouse lock.
When talking to Flash game developers, one Flash Player feature always comes up as a must-have, and that is mouse lock. Below is a sneak peak video of this feature in action in an early development build of the Flash Player. We are trying to get this feature out there to you as soon as possible and it is great to finally see it working. Stay tuned for more details soon!
Update: one thing that I didn’t show is that you can customize and create your own export formats using simple JSFL code.
At Flash on the Beach this year, we demoed a new feature coming to Flash Professional that allows you to export sprite sheets from your library MovieClips. This will be extemely useful for game developers and for anyone doing mobile development. Check out the sneak video that I created below. You will also have the ability to transform clips on the stage and export sprite sheets from there, but that part is not quite ready yet. Enjoy!
Game developer extraordinaire Terry Paton has released a great new game called Robot Arena. This was built using the Flare3D engine, which takes advantage of the Stage 3D APIs. Give a play below!
